Barely a generation
ago, cancer was almost an unspoken word. It was whispered or referred to merely
as "C" as if avoiding the word could somehow prevent the diseases
awful consequences.
Today cancer survivors, their families, friends and caregivers have learned
that talking about the disease and its implications can help. Sharing experiences
provides information and insight that can lighten their burden, strengthen their
ability to cope, and enrich their lives.
